Hello.
Great to have you here. Welcome to a blog about writing in a hospital. But it's much more than that. Since being here at St. Paul's hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (Canada) as the Healing Arts Program's (HAP) writer-in-residence, I've been searching for the best way to tell St. Paul's stories, talk about ideas, people, their lives, loves, losses, and fears all in a respectful (and ethically approved) way. Now, tbh, I've been a working on this website for a while, always reshaping and reimagining it and moving away from it for a while (busy with other projects, etc.) but constantly coming back to it saying "I gotta get this site finished and published." And finally this is it: A blog, mostly, featuring the people of St. Paul's - patients and staff - but also other features as well. It's a place to accumulate, highlight, curate, and disseminate stories and writing from St. Paul's hospital. Cause stories help us all - in so many ways. And I happen to be a writer who works with people in a hospital.
Here's what follows...
The following pages and blogs consist of several elements and, as this is my first blog ever, please be patient if things are, I don't know, a little clunky? Convoluted? Strange?
Anyhoo, this is what we got:
